The Lord of the Flies is a 1954 classic by William Golding that shows the dark side of humanity and how everyone has some evil instilled in their hearts. In this book, a group of kids is stranded on an island from a plane crash eventually join together to form a society with a kid named Ralph as the leader. However, things start to turn out very wrong when chaos breaks out and words about a “beastie” on the island start to emerge…

Nevertheless, even though I am not congenial with the book’s theme, it is a good book to read and has a very deep and meaningful ending that everyone should enjoy.

To me, this book is a dark novel and not my type, but it is a good book for a high-school reading level.
