Today me and my family watched the Pixar movie Soul. It was a great movie, and I highly recommend it for teens and adults because it asks deep questions about life, like:
- What is your purpose in life?
- Is life on Earth really worth living?
- Why are people depressed?
- …and many more.
Soul talks about the story of an African American musician and teacher named Joe Gardner. When he realizes that he has been accepted to play at a band, he thinks that his life mission is accomplished.
Turns out that he accidentally falls into a manhole and from there, his soul is transported to the “Great Beyond”. He was destined to die, except he escapes and somehow ends up in the “Great Before”. There, he is paired with a soul named 22 who doesn’t like Earth, and helps her find a way to live on Earth.
