On Day 3 we had a relaxing day by going walking around the city and eating lunch at a really good American store: the A&W store. This store is special since this particular store doesn’t appear in the United States or in other developed countries, so it settled here in Okinawa(and many other places)! There was one really good but vegan restaurant that I had planned, but however the store was closed until January 10th…😢
I ordered an A&W big burger while Mom and Mrs. Chien-hue ordered the regular ones. The fries were delicious but not as good as the American Shake-Shack restaurant. But my burger tasted truly amazing! The ingredients included tomatoes, lettuce, beef, chicken, fried chicken, ham and cream cheese(which I found disgusting).
In the afternoon, we rode the Yui Monorail to the far endpoint Tedako-Uranishi. When we got there though, everything suddenly became really cold! (since it is in the middle part of Okinawa) Riding back, we had an awesome look out the windows, including a knoll and a random Japanese school with kids! We also did have a last look at the museum’s whale we saw on Day 3.
The dinner was special though since we bought some fresh meat, vegetables, and a special cake! Mrs. Chien-hue and Mom cooked the most part, while I just did some math. 😝 That meal was the best one out of all meals on that trip! But the Airbnb house-owner didn’t provide knives for us to cut our steak, so we had to rip it with our teeth like barbarians. 😵 The cake was amazing, though we had to finish it before we boarded our plane tomorrow. What a great food day I had!
