I have read the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare about two or three months ago, so I figured it would be worth it to do a book review on the play.

The play begins by introducing the ghost of the play, as he scares two of the soldiers on duty during the middle of a night. He then tells his son, Hamlet, to avenge him and murder Claudius, Hamlet’s uncle and current heir of the throne. The “Ghost” also tells Hamlet that Claudius was responsible for his death because the current king had poisoned him.

Read along with Hamlet as he meets many characters and makes many tough decisions over the course of the play. Hamlet also describes many of his feelings and what life/death actually means by mentioning the famous “To be or not to be…”

And what happens in the end is very surprising…

This play was a very nice one, though it describes many of humanity’s flaws such as vengeance, murder, life and death, and a lot of other things. This is probably one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays in his selection of works.
